About me

Who are you?: I’m Rob Hori, an artist and illustrator based in Osaka, Japan. Need some sequencial art? Character design work? Want to commission a piece of artwork? Let’s talk!
Anything else?: I also run a bespoke design studio with my wife called Ren Creative. If you’re looking for traditional design work (e.g. posters, logos, flyers), or something for the web, click on over there and check us out.
Uh-huh. Sooo… education?: I graduated from the University Of Waterloo (in Kitchener-Waterloo, Canada) with a BA in Fine Arts. A long time ago.
All work and no play blah blah blah. What do you do outside of work?: Reading comics (since I was a kid), playing video games (ditto), annoying Shunta (my cat), and doing aikido (fourth degree black belt). I suppose I could only be more of a stereotype if I played tabletop RPGs (which I did up until my late twenties).
